THE OFFICIAL HOME OF
THE NEW JERSEY BREAKERS
NJ Breakers, softball, travel softball
- Welcome -
Thank you, and Farewell.

Thirty years ago, I started the NJ Breakers with the help of my friends Jerry Prevete, Frank Parisi, Keith Riggio, Joe Rosoluk, and my brother Dave Salvatore. It has been an amazing journey! It is time for us to step away and end our time by making this summer (2024) our final season.
There are so many people responsible for helping the Breakers succeed. I want to mention a few by name.
First, I want to give a special, heartfelt thanks to Stephanie Cassel, who was my right hand and the heart and soul of the Breakers! I miss you!!
I sincerely thank Frank Parisi, Keith Riggio, and my brother Dave for dealing with my occasional lunacy. (They would say more than occasionally)
A special thanks to Joe Rosoluk, who has been here in spirit all the years we've played. I was so glad to see your daughter in a Breaker uniform. I hope we've made you proud!
I want to thank Tommy Tarulli, who was instrumental in helping us make our program a National Powerhouse for many years. Tommy T says about the Breakers' longevity, "It's about the stories."
I want to thank my nephew, Jake Salvatore, and his mother, Judi Salvatore, for keeping the program successfully running for the past ten years. Although Judi was not named a founder, she was instrumental in starting the Breakers.
I want to thank Rich Houston, Dave Soles, and Don Montemurro for being a massive part of our success. Without these gentlemen, our program would not have thrived!
Thank you to all our competitors, tournament directors, college coaches, and umpires who have faith and confidence in our program.
Thank you to all our current and past players. You all are indeed the reason we were an outstanding program!
Thank you to all the parents who supported us over the years. A special shout out to Mr. Kelly, who built our first website, which was years ahead of its time. Thank you to our current webmasters, Jake Salvatore and Glenn Fuchs. Glenn has kept us current with our website and social media, especially with the last video of our final Breaker team over the years!
Last but not least, thank you to my wife, Patti, and my children, Brittany and Amanda, for taking a second position in softball more times than I want to admit.
As I close this out with tears in my eyes, Thank you All!
Joe Salvatore
